Probably one of the best Cocktail bars in town, great choice of cocktails and drinks, friendly and attentive staff who clearly know their stuff,we were there late afternoon mid week so was quite but a great vibe we didn't eat but saw food being served and it looked great!

Just had an amazing evening at Motel Mexicana in Newcastle! The food was absolutely delicious – the tacos were bursting with flavor and the margaritas were perfect. The ambience is so vibrant and colorful, it really transports you to a festive Mexican street. And the live dance performance added such a lively, fun atmosphere to the night. Can't wait to go back!

We had our engagement party in the upstairs venue room of motel Mexicana. David was a fabulous manager, helping us plan and execute our decor and personalised drink ideas. He was so generous providing us a little surprise gift of shots and my fav 818 tequila! The bar was clean and well stocked. We couldn’t have asked for a better night!

Love this bar! Margs and tacos are 10 out of 10, and the bottomless brunch was such a laugh! I did it for my 30th and we had the best time . 100% come along if youre in Newcastle for a day or night out

We visited for their 2.50 Taco Tuesday, and also for 2for1 cocktails. We had an absolutely amazing time! The staff were friendly, and the food and drinks came really promptly - everything tasted fresh and I wish I had ordered about 6 of their Barbacoa Beef tacos . The loaded nachos were also incredible! We will definitely be back!!

The tacos were lovely (I had the pollo, chilli con carne, and carnitas). And the drinks were the best I had so far on Newcastle Cocktail Week. Can’t wait to be back for Taco Tuesday

We visited Motel Mexicana yesterday with friends and we absolutely loved it. The theme and decor is different for Newcastle and we love that you can wear sombreros and shake maracas. It would be especially great for hen dos or birthday nights out. The food is delicious and portion sizes are more than enough! The staff were so lovely with us and very accommodating as we asked them what certain people could have in our group who couldn’t have spicy food (at a Mexican restaurant no less) they told the chef to be light on the spice and told us which foods they could have. They were also very helpful in providing non-alcoholic drinks and informing us they will have a full non-alcoholic menu provided soon. Again the staff are lovely, the food is lush and there are plenty drink options! The decor of the place is all Mexican themed and great for photo ops!
